Weeble Wobble

Well it was another long couple of weeks.  This time I got to ride in an ambulance to the hospital, another ride I remember nothing of, which my friend Jenny will be sad to hear since the firemen arrived this time to help.  I have half the camp thinking it is an infection at the port (so they removed it and I got a new one).  However, no infection was found when they removed it.  My doctor says that’s because I was pumped full of antibioties by the time they rem0ved the port two days after admittance. Then you have the other camp (me) that says it is a reaction to one of the drugs. My doctor is still dismissing that because my reactions are happening 1 hour to 1 day after infusion and if I was allergic to the drug it would happen immediately. I’m hoping the doctor is right, but dreading that I’m right.

So Brent the trooper hung out at a hospital, 4 days while I was in ICU and 8 days while I was on the oncology floor.  One positive is they determined why I had such severe pain in my lower back.  I have an L1 lu compression with fractures. Not sure  how that happened but they say chemo can weaken your bones.

So I’m very much feeling like one of those weeble wobbles that you knock down but they bounce back up.  Although my bounce is feeling a little sluggish these days.

I also determined that hospital food is horrible and I still have no appetite so the pounds are coming off – but I don’t look like I lost any weight because all the drugs make me puffy.  So I will look at the positive that I’ll lose some weight but unfortunately I’ll still look the same, lol.
